BUDAPEST: China Eastern Airlines, on Saturday, resumed direct flights between the starting point of the ancient Silk Road in Xi’an city of China, and the historic city of #Budapest in Hungary, offering global travellers a gateway to explore the rich heritage and economic dynamism of these two cities.
Reflecting optimism on the resumption of flights, Balazs Bogats, chief commercial officer of the Budapest Airport, hailed the resumption of the direct air link, noting that Xi’an, renowned for its historical significance as the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Road, offers Hungarian travellers and businessmen a gateway to explore China’s rich heritage and economic dynamism.
State secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in remark said;
“This direct flight between Xi’an and Budapest is a testament to the dynamic development we have seen in tourism, economic exchanges, and cultural dialogues between our countries,”.
With the resumption of the direct link of China Eastern Airlines between Xi’an and Budapest, the Hungarian capital now has seven direct air routes with China, a vital step words building Air Silk Road.
