Moscow: Authorities in Russia are gearing up to host 17,000 participants for St. Petersburg international economic Forum, SPIEF2024, one of the biggest and most important business events of Russia, to be held in the cultural city of St. Petersburg, from 5-8 June. 2024.
President of the Russian federation Vladimir Putin has sent greeting to the participants, organizers and guests of the 27th St Petersburg international economic forum.
As a leading international event focusing on key issues on the global economic agenda, the SPIEF provides a platform for participants to exchange best practices and expertise in the interests of sustainable development.
Besides offering an unrivalled space for dialogue and forging business ties, SIEF provides an opportunity to find partners with the aim of securing business growth in Russia and abroad.
In SPIEF2023, more than 17,000 participants from 130 countries took part in both offline and online formats. More than 900 agreements worth a total of RUB 3.860 billion were signed at the Forum (including 43 agreements with representatives of foreign companies, among them two with Italy and Spain.
For the SPIEF2-24, Russia has invited the Taliban in the forum, according to official sources of Russia.
In Addition, TASS reported on Monday that Russian ministries advised President Putin that Moscow could remove the Taliban from its list of banned organizations.
