There is a need to provide green education not only for students, but also for parents and teachers, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva said at a forum on climate action organized by the NAM Youth Organization, Report informs.
“We need green programs that prepare children to become responsible citizens, so that they have the skills that will enable them to find work in a low-carbon economy,” she said.
According to Andreeva, COP29 will be a platform that will “unite the voices of all people,” including young people.
“When it comes to fighting climate change, it is very important to mobilize the whole of society,” she added.
