This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Poland. Earlier this week, China and Poland issued an action plan to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership. According to the plan, the two nations will deepen cooperation in areas including economy and trade, investment and connectivity. On Wednesday, Polish President Andrzej Duda attended the China-Poland Business and Investment Forum held in Shanghai. Zhou Yixin reports.

At the China-Poland Business and Investment Forum, Polish President Andrzej Duda delivered a keynote speech. He said Poland hopes to further promote the export of Polish products to China, and expand the scale of trade in agricultural and food products. He also expressed support for two-way investment cooperation in the fields of electric vehicles, green development, logistics and more.

ANDRZEJ DUDA Polish President “We are interested in attracting investments in industries such as electro-mobility, logistics, as well as renewable energy. We consider agri-food and cosmetics sectors to be priority industries for our trade cooperation. We are committed to developing air and rail connections between our countries and to increase the dynamics of tourist exchange and cooperation in science and technology.”

China and Poland have agreed to deepen economic and trade cooperation and expand mutual market access, according to an action plan issued on Monday. The two sides voiced their commitment to promoting the export of Polish products to China. They also pledged support to improve the investment environment so as to provide equal opportunities and a fair, competitive business environment for enterprises of the two countries to enter each other’s markets.

A group of representatives from Polish enterprises attended the forum, with the aim of building connections and looking for cooperation with Chinese businesses.

A signing ceremony was held for enterprises from both countries to establish cooperative relationships. Representatives of Polish enterprises and officials from the Poland Investment and Trade Bureau briefed the gathering on major Polish industries and investment opportunities in Poland.
