Islamabad: Pakistan and Japan have signed a cooperation agreement of 2.1 million dollars to bolster the Human Resource Development Scholarship Program 2024, a new educational initiative aimed to enhance the capacity of youth for the socio-economic development of Pakistan.
Official sources stated that the agreement was signed by Secretary of Economic Affairs Kazim Niaz and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Pakistan Wada Mitsuhiro in Islamabad Wednesday.
The $2.1 million funding package by Japan will provide seventeen scholarships for Master’s programs and one for a PhD/Doctorate program at prestigious universities in Japan for young Federal Civil Service and Ex-Cadre officers of Pakistan.
The educational development initiative has significantly enhanced the capacity and performance of young officers who play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of Pakistan.
