China, Serbia Vow to Advance the Process of Mutual Modernization
President Xi Jinping is visiting Serbia to promote the Sino-Serbian friendship in new era.
Belgrade, Serbia: China and Serbia have agreed to advance the process of mutual modernization as President Xi Jinping of China and President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia held their talks which focused on deepening and elevating the comprehensive strategic partnership of the two countries, and building a community with a shared Sino-Serbian destiny in modern era.
Prior to their conversation, President Vucic offered a royal welcome ceremony for Xi.
Accompanied by President Vucic, President Xi went to the platform of the Serbian government building where around 15 thousand Serbian citizens expressed their warm welcome to Xi.
President Xi waved his hands at the Serbian citizens.
In the conversation, Xi Jinping said that he had experienced a very strong Sino-Serbian friendship in the ordeal of changing the global situation, and that the two countries had a deep historical substance, solid political foundation, broad common welfare, and solid foundation of the myth of citizens.
He said that when the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Serbia was established in 2016, the content of their bilateral relationship becomes richer, and it serves as a model of friendly relations between China and European countries.
Together with the Serbian side, the Chinese side is ready to work hard to promote the Sino-Serbian friendship, hand in hand to protect the fundamental and distant welfare of both countries, and together to advance the construction of a community with a shared Sino-Serbia destiny in the modern era.
The Chinese president stressed that Serbia is China’s first comprehensive and strategic partner in the Middle-East Europe region.
He said that the cooperation of both countries can deliver actual welfare to their citizens.
By establishing a community with a shared Sino-Serbian destiny in the modern era, it should seamlessly dig deep and expand the quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road” and cooperation of China and the Middle-East European countries to advance the process of mutual modernization.
In relation to this, President Xi presented three steps which include first, the strategic relationship of the two countries should be valued and hold the overall direction of the Sino-Serbian relationship; second, pragmatic cooperation of the two countries must be strengthened to benefit their citizens; third, the relationship of Sino-Serbia should be strengthened two countries to create a new prospect of cooperation.
Vucic extended a warm welcome to Xi’s visit.
He stated that China is Serbia’s most loyal friend. The Serbian side wholeheartedly supports the legitimate position of the Chinese side on nuclear issues like Taiwan.
There is only one China in the world, and the Serbian side will continue and firmly support the Chinese side, where it is.
After the conversation, the two leaders jointly signed a “Joint Statement On Deepening and Enhancing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Building a Community With a Shared Sino-Serbian Destiny in Modern Times. ”
The two leaders also met the journalists together.
