- Pakistan, China Sign Cooperation MoUs in Diverse Fields
- Cooperation focuses on agriculture, information technology, blue economy, communication, minerals and mining
- PM says next phase of CPEC to further deepen the Pakistan-China strategic partnership
Beijing: Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday witnessed the signing ceremony of MoUs aimed at fostering cooperation between Pakistan and China in diverse fields in Beijing on Wednesday.
During the ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Pakistan and China regarding the production of solar panels. Moreover, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed for the project to manufacture Y-to-O tractors
Memorandum of Understanding between Pakistan’s Habib Rafiq Limited and Beijing Global Hydrogen Industries Company Limited was also signed on the occasion.
Besides, MoU between Board of Investment of Pakistan and Institute of Structural Economics, Peking University regarding development of China Pakistan Economic Corridor was also signed.
During the visit to China, Prime Minister emphasized the need for cooperation between Pakistan and China in the fields of agriculture, information technology, blue economy, communication, minerals and mining.
Chairman of China International Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), ambassador Luo Zhaohui who called on him in Beijing, offered CIDCA’s support to Pakistan in Special Economic Zones and Health Sector.
While speaking at Pakistan-China Friendship and Business event, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that the next phase of CPEC would serve to further deepen the Pakistan-China strategic partnership.
PM also urged the Chinese investors and businesspersons to make use of the investment opportunities in Pakistan, especially with the establishment of Special Investment Facilitation Council that offers one-window solution to international investors.
He called for practical and mutually beneficial cooperation in priority areas of mining, ICT and agriculture.
