Uzbekistan Welcomes Egyptian Universities to Open Campuses in Tashkent

Tashkent: To foster educational cooperation, Uzbekistan has welcomed Egyptian universities to open branches in cities of Uzbekistan, a country located on ancient trade route,Silk Road, linking China to the Mediterranean Sea.

The statements came after meeting of Uzbek Minister of Higher Education, Sciences and Innovation Kungirotboy Sharipov with Egyptian Ambassador, Amira Fahmy, in Tashkent on Tuesday.

Minister Sharipov expressed Uzbekistan’s interest in collaborating with the Egyptian universities in the fields of medicine, agriculture, chemistry, engineering, technology, engineering, information technology, artificial intelligence, water management, and energy.

The minister also said Uzbekistan was considering teaching the Arabic language and literature at Uzbek establishments.

Both sides discussed matters related to building upon the existing cooperation such as flow of Egyptian students to Uzbek universities. That is in addition to the work of visiting professors from Egyptian universities at Uzbek counterparts.
