Islamabad: Hengeng Trading Company of China is constructing a state-of-the-art slaughterhouse in Gwadar at a cost of 50 million dollars, enabling Pakistan to export goods worth 30 million dollars annually after the completion of this livestock project.

This was revealed during a meeting of the delegation of Hengeng Trading Company, led by its Chairman Zhang Bin, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During the talks, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the Gwadar Port Authority to provide all possible facilities to Chinese companies.

The Prime Minister also instructed to provide uninterrupted utilities to the Gwadar Free Zone.

Pakistan is desirous of benefiting China’s success in the agriculture sector, and we welcome Chinese investors in Pakistan” PM added.

PM also recalled that business-to-business agreements were signed between Pakistani and Chinese companies during his visit China, which is a welcoming sign.

Chairman Zhang Bin apprised the Prime Minister that Hengeng Trading Company was investing in the agriculture, livestock, pharmaceutical, and other sectors of Pakistan.

Reflecting on the potential of livestock project, delegation leader told that the livestock sector of Pakistan would be able to export goods worth 30 million dollars annually after the completion of this slaughterhouse. It will also create around one thousand new jobs for the local people.

Besides, Hengeng Trading Company is exporting pharmaceuticals to China after processing them at the Gwadar Free Zone.

Since the last visit to China in July, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif seems more determined, giving priority to implementation of CPEC 2:0 related projects.

PM is constantly holding meeting with relevant authorities to review progress over agreements signed with Chinese counterparts during his visit to China.

Chairing a meeting on Saturday, Prime Minister said no delay will be tolerated in the implementation of MoUs on cooperation with China.
