Boao, Hainan: Ban Ki-moon, Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) has visited the BFA Secretariat for discussions over the preparations for the Forum’s 2025 Annual Conference, starting from March 25 to 28 in Boao, Hainan Province of South China.
BFA Secretariat, Secretary-General Zhang Jun briefed Ban Ki-moon on the progress of the annual conference preparations. He emphasized that as the world is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century, the resurgence of unilateralism and protectionism in 2025 brings more challenges to global stability and economic recovery.
As challenges and risks increase, worries and anxieties have further intensified in international community. Against this backdrop, the 2025 BFA Annual Conference holds significant immediate and long-term implications. The theme of this year’s conference, “Asia in the Changing World: Towards a Shared Future,” is highly relevant to major issues and challenges presented by the times. It helps us steer the course of development, foster solidarity and cooperation, and pursue shared development.
