BEIJING : To boost Silk Road connectivity in South East Asia, SF Airlines has launched an international connecting air cargo route linking up South China’s Shenzhen and Sanya cities with Singapore, the air cargo carrier announced on Monday.
A B767-300 freighter took off from the Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport at 10:01 pm on Sunday, embarking on the Shenzhen-Singapore-Sanya-Shenzhen route, said SF Airlines.
One round-trip flight is scheduled every week on this route, providing about 100 tons of air cargo transport capacity.
This cargo route connects China’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Hainan Free Trade Port with Singapore.
Exported goods collected across the country will be sent to Singapore via this route. Then, the imported goods will be carried to Sanya, a popular coastal tourist destination in South China’s coastal Hainan province, according to the cargo airline.
The cargo airline is committed to ensuring the stable operation of this new route, which will promote the logistics network and industrial chain in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and inject vitality to the Belt and Road connectivity, said SF Airlines.
The SF Airlines of China was established in 2009. Today, airline is a brand of cargo airline under S.F. Holding and headquartered in Shenzhen city.
SF Airlines is supported by operation from two other air bases in Hangzhou and Beijing of China, it dedicates itself to providing highly efficient and safe air shipping services to SF EXPRESS. Until now, SF Airlines has 55 cargo freighters, which enables us to be the cargo airline operating the largest number of cargo aircraft in China.
The China-based express giant has also added a freighter route linking Shenzhen and Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, showing the the expansion of SF Airlines’s network through the addition of extra flights to Singapore, the commercial and financial capital of emerging Asia.
Under the Belt and Road project, Chinese airlinese have facilitated the connectivity in through Air Silk Road, supporting passengers to travel in Asia and Europe with ease and convenience.
Also, to boost connectivity in Europe under Silk Road, SF Airlines has launched an air cargo route linking Ezhou Huahu Airport in central China’s Hubei Province with Budapest International Airport in Hungary.
